Greetings
22.03.2012

Dear compatriots!

Esteemed guests!

In these fabulous days filled with sunny warmth, when the nature awakens, the breath of spring is felt more plainly, when our wonderful land is dressed with green attire, I take a great pleasure to congratulate you, my dear friends, and the entire people of Uzbekistan, from the bottom of my heart, on the holiday of Navruz, a holiday of rebirth and rejuvenation.

For all of us, the Navruz is the start of a new year in the Eastern calendar, a symbol of noble aspirations and hopes for a rich harvest, abundance and prosperity, the most ancient, the most favorite holiday of our people, the one free of any political trends, an integral part of our spirituality and national values.

Dear the ranks and sergeants, officers and generals, veterans of Armed Forces!

I take a great pleasure to sincerely congratulate you, the ones who have devoted themselves to the noble deed of defending the Homeland, and all our compatriots on the momentous date in the life of our nation – the twentieth anniversary of formation of our Armed Forces and the Day of Motherland Defenders.

Wide-scale and profound, systemic and gradual strides have been made in Uzbekistan during independence years toward building modern, agile, well-armed forces capable of effectively addressing tactical and strategic tasks in ensuring the security and stability of the country and inviolability of its borders.

Dear compatriots!

Dear friends!

Please accept my sincerest, most cordial congratulations on the New Year 2012.

Gathered round the festive table in these exciting moments just minutes ahead of the new year, we inadvertently and quite naturally recall everything that ties us to the outgoing year, namely, the tremendous transformation and our accomplishments made in renovating the country, the memorable events and impressions, our joys and concerns.

I believe we all agree that the passing year will stay in our mind primarily as the one when we widely celebrated a great date in the history of our Motherland – the twentieth anniversary of its independence that opened up a path to a new, free and prosperous life for our nation.
