President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has held a meeting with the leadership of the Yashnabad district, chairpersons of mahallas, entrepreneurs, representatives of schools and healthcare institutions.

“I have come to openly discuss with you – those closest to the people and who are directly implementing our reforms – about existing problems and issues of concern. Therefore, I will be glad if you don’t speak the well-rehearsed words, and instead ask more questions and share proposals,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

In the Yashnabad district, jobs need to be created for more than 18 thousand economically active people, entrepreneurship development ought to be accelerated to boost employment.

Last year, the district secured 1.3 times growth in investments, increase in industrial output by 12 percent, in construction works by 26 percent, in services by 28 percent. 16 production and services facilities were commissioned by drawing 445 billion soums.
 
61 investment projects worth 8.5 trillion soums were formed for realization in 2020-2022.

As it was noted at the meeting, the district wields sufficient reserves for creating small enterprises, the mahalla institution should take an active part in this process.

Measures have been identified for the construction of preschool educational institutions, for the overhaul of schools and the organization of modern clinics. The President emphasized the importance of promoting healthy lifestyle, delivering an atmosphere of preference for proper nutrition and sports instead of medicines.

Guidance was also shared on crime prevention, landscaping and infrastructure development.

“Yashnabad should correspond to its name, that is, to turn into a flourishing place to live, be an example of how to organize work at the grassroots level,” the head of state suggested.

During the open dialogue, residents and entrepreneurs expressed their views and concerns. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave the responsible officials instructions regarding the implementation of the proposals voiced.
