In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan dated March 4 of this year, a group of active women was awarded orders and medals as well as the honorary titles. According to the presidential decree of March 3, 28 girls were awarded the Zulfiya State Prize.

At today’s festive event, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev solemnly presented these highest awards.

- When we talk about women, first of all, the image of the great Mother appears before us. That is why we always remember the sacred hadith, which says: «Be good to your mothers». According to this, we consider it as our highest human duty to show attention and care for our mothers, dear sisters, lovely daughters. After all, the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoiy said that our duty to women cannot be measured by thousands of treasures. Therefore, all of us, from the President to leaders and officials at all levels, must proceed from this important criterion in our activities. We are well aware that in a society where the rights and interests of women are guaranteed, peace, justice and prosperity will definitely reign. If a woman is happy, the family and society are happy, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

297 women, who are leading exemplary model activities for the protection of motherhood and childhood, educating young people in the spirit of patriotism, have also received the award pin «Mo’tabar ayol» (‘The Esteemed Woman’).

The women from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, all regions and the city of Tashkent, working in various fields, employees of ministries and departments, gathered at the festive table. The event was also attended by the women diplomats of foreign states and the representatives of international organizations.

The holiday continued with a colorful concert program.
