As part of the program of events of the Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, taking place today in Astana, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreyev in the residence allotted for him.
They were pleased to note the intensification of dialogue and the expansion of multifaceted cooperation within the Organization in recent years.
Aspects of organizing and holding the forthcoming Summit in Uzbekistan in November this year were considered.
On the eve of the Meeting of the Heads of State, a series of ministerial meetings will be held for the elaboration of agenda and multilateral documents in the field of trade, investment, transport, information and communication technologies, and humanitarian exchanges.
An agreement was reached on close cooperation with the Secretariat of this distinguished regional structure for the thorough preparation of the Organization’s Summit.
