On May 23, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Singapore Halimah Yacob arrived in our country on a state visit.
Guard of honor lined up at the airport on the arrival of the distinguished guest.
Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Z.Makhkamova, Foreign Minister B.Saidov and Acting Khokim of Tashkent Sh.Umurzakov welcomed the Singaporean President and her husband.
The distinguished guest and members of Singapore delegation visited «New Uzbekistan» Park, laid flowers at the Monument of Independence, got acquainted with the history of Uzbekistan’s independent development and the construction of this unique complex, and met with representatives of national cultural centers.
The main events of the visit are scheduled for tomorrow.
