The Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani is paying a state visit to our country at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Today, on June 6, the major events of the visit started with an official welcoming ceremony of the head of Qatar in Samarkand.
A guard of honor lined up on the square in front of the Congress Center.
Uzbek President warmly greeted the high-ranking guest and invited him to the podium.
A military orchestra sang the national anthems of the two countries.
The President of Uzbekistan and the Amir of Qatar ceremonially passed through the guard of honor and welcomed the members of the official delegation.
Following the ceremony, high-level talks took place.
