The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
At the outset, the Leader of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated our President on his convincing victory in the early presidential elections and wished the fraternal Uzbek people well-being and prosperity.
The progressive dynamics of developing Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership in recent years was satisfactorily noted.
A practical cooperation is expanding in industry, energy, agriculture and other sectors. The contacts along the parliamentary line and humanitarian exchanges have been intensified.
Uzbek and Turkmen Leaders exchanged views on the issues of regional agenda. A schedule of upcoming bilateral events was considered.
