Issues of further development of Uzbek-Russian relations of strategic partnership and alliance were discussed during a telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on August 9.
Special emphasis was placed on the further development of trade and economic cooperation and the continuation of active humanitarian exchanges.
The two leaders also reviewed the schedule of upcoming events and supported the holding of the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, Uzbek-Russian interregional, educational and media forums in the near future.
The sides exchanged views on issues of regional interaction.
