Uzbek President and German Federal President Discuss the Prospects for Bilateral Relations

On September 29, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a bilateral meeting with the Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

The sides discussed topical issues related to the development of Uzbek-German multifaceted relations, particularly in the areas of innovation and technology, green economy, alternative energy, transport and logistics, education and culture.

The importance of continuing joint efforts to implement the agreements of productive talks held during the high-level visit to Germany in this May was noted.

The presidents also exchanged views on the regional agenda, including the importance of establishing practical co-operation in the Central Asia-Germany format.
