The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, after a meeting in a contracted format, continued talks in an expanded format with the participation of members of official delegations.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev, expressing deep gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality, emphasized the unprecedented breakthrough in developing a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between the countries.
The President of Uzbekistan noted with great satisfaction the consistent expansion and significant progress in all areas of relations between Uzbekistan and Russia.
The results of targeted joint activities in trade, economic, and investment spheres were highly appreciated, and their qualitative change was emphasized.
A permanent joint group has been created to enhance industrial cooperation, primarily in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, energy, processing, textile, food, and other industries.
Several other agreements were reached during the talks to strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties.
