As part of the program of the 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) held in the city of Samarkand, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Declaration on awarding Samarkand the status of “the World Cultural Tourism Capital” and the Agreement on the establishment of the International Tourism Academy were adopted.
The Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov and the Secretary-General of UNWTO Zurab Pololikashvili signed the documents.
