As part of the events on the second day of his visit to China, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met Song Hailiang, the Chairman of the company “China Energy Engineering Corporation”.

Having extensive experience in the field of design and construction of modern energy, infrastructure and industry facilities, the leading Chinese corporation “China Energy” is widely involved in the implementation of large investment projects in many countries of the world. The company’s assets exceed $150 billion.

During the meeting, the active participation of the company in the technological modernization of the energy sector of Uzbekistan was welcomed.

“China Energy” is implementing construction projects of solar and wind power plants in the Kashkadarya and the Bukhara regions and a heating plant in the Syrdarya region.

The company plans to participate in the construction of a hybrid power plant in the Navoi region.

In addition, in September of this year, modern cement production was jointly launched in the Samarkand region.

The prospects of partnership with “China Energy” including the modernization of infrastructure facilities, the creation of energy storage systems and training qualified specialists within the Development program of the industry until 2030 were discussed.

The cooperation in the water management sector and the implementation of joint projects in various industries were also on the focus of the meeting.

Following the meeting, an agreement on the preparation of a comprehensive program to expand mutually beneficial cooperation was reached.
