On December 1, on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the King of Malaysia Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
The meeting focused on the further development of Uzbek-Malaysian relations, particularly in the economic sphere.
The positive progress in bilateral contacts was noted with satisfaction.
The volume of mutual trade is increasing, cooperation projects in various sectors of the economy are being implemented, and programs in the field of pilgrimage tourism are being carried out.
In order to enhance the partnership agenda with concrete practical content, an agreement was reached to hold a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and a joint business forum next year.
