On December 19, the unveiling ceremony of a monument symbolizing the efforts of the international community in the fight against corruption was held on the territory of the International Business Centre "Tashkent City".
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended the ceremony.
The event was also attended by UN Assistant Secretary-General Alexander Zuev and foreign officials.
The 12-metre-long transparent metal composition in the shape of an upward pointing hand with open fingers represents honesty and purity of deeds and thoughts, absolute rejection of corruption and an appeal to countries around the world to unite in the fight against it.
