On April 28 President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the platform of the fifth International industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia”, which has started its work in the city of Tashkent.
The forum is held in the exhibition complex “Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan”. The total exposition area exceeds 18 thousand square meters. There are over 10 thousand delegates from Russia, neighboring countries of Central Asia, China, India and other countries.
The exhibition presents technological solutions, modern equipment and finished industrial products of leading enterprises of machine-building, electrical engineering, metallurgy, chemical industry, transportation sector, construction industry, IT and other sectors.
During the tour of pavilions and expositions, the Head of our state emphasized the great potential of economic partnership and opportunities for generating business ideas.
Confidence has been expressed that the forum will give impetus to the promotion of new large-scale projects, foster long-term partnership ties and expand interregional cooperation.
On the margins of the event, the President of Uzbekistan met with the Russian delegation headed by the first deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
The head of the Russian delegation conveyed greetings and best wishes of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the Head of our state.
Issues of practical implementation of arrangements and agreements adopted following the state visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan in May last year were discussed.
The dynamics of trade turnover growth has been maintained, important cooperation projects have been implemented, including those involving regions of the two countries.
The importance of enhancing trade and economic cooperation, promoting cooperation projects and programs, including through the development of coordinated solutions on the platform of the “Innoprom” forum has been noted.
At the meeting with Rais of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov the issues of expanding industrial cooperation of leading enterprises and active humanitarian exchange were discussed.
An agreement was reached to continue intensive contacts, promote joint projects in oil and gas, chemical, transportation, tourism and other spheres, including within the framework of industrial zones in the regions of Uzbekistan.
During the conversation with Director General of “Rosatom” State Corporation Alexey Likhachev, the dynamic development of cooperation in the field of peaceful atom was noted.
Particular attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the application of nuclear technologies in agriculture and medicine, as well as personnel training on the basis of MEPhI branch in Tashkent.
The leader of our country participated in the work of the round table, during which the heads of regions and leading companies of the two countries presented concrete plans for the implementation of cooperation projects.
