In the framework of the Foreign Investors Council session, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of major Saudi companies headed by the co-chairman of the Uzbek-Saudi Business council, chairman of the board of directors of “ACWA Power” Mohammad Abunayyan.
The heads of “Vision Invest” and “Riyadh Cables” companies also attended the meeting.
Issues of further expansion of practical cooperation with Saudi Arabia business and acceleration of priority projects in our country were reviewed.
A fruitful partnership with “ACWA Power” and other Saudi companies was noted with satisfaction.
The current joint projects portfolio reached $24 billion. Projects in the sphere of green energy are being successfully implemented. Production of green hydrogen has been launched in Tashkent region.
The importance of promoting projects on modernization of electrical power grids, development of electronics industry, in the fields of information technologies, transport, utilities and other areas, was noted.
