In accordance with the order and decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 28 with an aim to comprehensively support young generation and increase its activity in the state and public life, a group of outstanding young men and women received “Kelajak bunyodkori” medals and “Mard uglon” state awards.

On June 30 on Youth Day, a ceremony of awarding these honors took place in the International congress-center in Tashkent.

In the beginning of his address, the Head of State congratulated the young people with the holiday. He put forward important initiatives on quality education of children, preparation for enrolling in foreign universities, support of startups and initiatives of youth, as well as ensuring employment. During the meeting an open dialogue was held with young people. 

Later President Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally awarded state honors to the youth. 

- Actions during youth – key to success in the future. A friend acquired in youth – a partner and support during lifetime. Never forget: people and state whose children are educated, healthy, courageous and ambitious, will certainly have a bright future. I wish that all youth of Uzbekistan has such qualities, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The awarded expressed sincere gratitude to the opportunities created by the state and emphasized their readiness to achieve great success and justify the trust of the people.

The event was attended by the representatives of state and public organizations, intelligence and parents.
