On August 28, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a Special Envoy of the President of the United States for global partnerships Paolo Zampolli, who’s currently in our country on a working visit.

The high representative of the USA Administration passed to the Head of our state sincere greetings and warm congratulations of the President Donald Trump in connection with the Independence Day of Uzbekistan. 

During the meeting, issues of further expanding Uzbek-American relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation were constructively reviewed. 

The continuing productive contacts on various levels were noted with special satisfaction. The constructive political dialogue is developing, active inter-parliamentary exchanges are taking place. Last month, events in the framework of Days of Uzbekistan were held in Congress, the first session of the Expanded strategic partnership dialogue will be held this autumn. 

Effective cooperation is organized in the sphere of security, combating terrorism, extremism and illegal migration. 

The United States is traditionally an important economic partner to Uzbekistan. The trade turnover grew by 15 percent in 2024. The project portfolio exceeds $11 billion. 

Over 100 leading American companies took part in the work of Tashkent investment forum in June this year. 

The major potential for promoting cooperation projects in the sphere of mineral resources, aviation, electronics, agriculture, digital technologies, finance, innovation, education and other priority areas, was noted.

The significance of deepening regional cooperation in the framework of “C5+1” format was emphasized.

The schedule of upcoming contacts and joint events was also reviewed.
