In the framework of the trip to Namangan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a day care center “Firdavs” created based on public-private partnership.
In accordance with the Constitution of our country and strategy of social protection of the population, the policy on care of the individual achieved even greater scale, and social services became closer to those needing them the most. Particularly, from March this year a system of day care for children with disabilities has been introduced in Uzbekistan. Such projects are implemented in the framework of private initiative with the state’s financial support in the form of subsidies.
“Firdavs” day care center organized by the entrepreneur Sayora Kosimova, is one of such examples. The service accommodates 36 places and provides special educational and rehabilitation services during nine hours of the day. Children here are engaged in individual training programs conducted by qualified neurologist, defectologist, audiologist, teacher and psychologist.
Mothers whose children are using the center’s services, expressed gratitude to the President for the attention and support. They pointed that earlier such children remained at home and were isolated from the society. Now thanks to the new social protection system they have access to inclusive education, interesting tasks and life skills. This became a great help and a source of peace of mind for the families with special children.
The President emphasized that nobody should remain without attention in our country, and the scope of such social projects will only expand.
The Head of State also got acquainted with the activities of “Faol hayotga qadam besh xizmat” LLC.
An entrepreneur Khosiyat Ortikova at her own cost created the center this year. Modern conditions, medical and rehabilitation services are organized here for the people needing constant care. The center accommodates 16 places.
Every day eight-hour lessons based on individual programs are organized here aimed at health recovery, expanding functional opportunities and return to a full life. First results are already achieved: eight people have improved the skills of self-service, and five members of their families have been employed.
This way, “A step to active life” program and day care help people return to healthy life, and families – strengthen social and economic status. Thanks to these services, positive changes are happening not only in the destinies of separate people but in the society as a whole.
Today 600 entrepreneurs across the whole country connected to the public-private partnership program in this sphere, including 46 in Namangan region. Overall, “A step to active life” program covers 24 thousand citizens nationwide needing external help, and the day care services – around 3 thousand children with disabilities.
