On October 7, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The Head of our state warmly congratulated the Russian leader on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, prosperity, and success, as well as prosperity for the friendly Russian people.

Topical issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance in the context of practical implementation of agreements at the highest level were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to maintaining the growth dynamics of mutual trade turnover, promoting cooperation projects between leading enterprises and companies in industry, energy, agriculture, and other priority areas, and expanding business cooperation between the regions of the two countries.

The ongoing active cultural and humanitarian exchange was noted with deep satisfaction.

The parties also exchanged views on topical issues on the international and regional agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
