President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the storage and distribution center of “Anglesey Food” Limited Liability Company.

The enterprise, located in the “Yangi Avlod” special industrial zone, serves the “Korzinka” retail chain, providing storage, sorting, and packaging of goods.

The center covers an area of 10 hectares, of which 49 thousand square meters are allocated for storage facilities. Construction equipment and refrigeration units were supplied from China, Türkiye, Belarus, and Russia. All of them are certified according to EDGE Advanced international standards.

This project is the largest Class A distribution center in Central Asia. It can simultaneously operate 145 loading and unloading gates, which allows for the efficient receipt and shipment of goods.

The complex has four temperature zones, allowing products to be stored according to their characteristics — in refrigerated and low-temperature chambers, as well as in dry rooms.
In addition, a modern laboratory with 96 testing modules, operating around the clock, is being created on the center's premises. The project will result in the creation of more than 1,000 new jobs.

During a conversation with representatives of the public, the President noted that the success of such projects is the result of a well-thought-out economic policy and investor confidence.

- Over the past eight years, Uzbekistan has attracted $130 billion in foreign investment, which has been used to build dozens of factories and industrial enterprises. Today, we have also launched another large-scale project - the construction of a new international airport, which is being funded by companies from Saudi Arabia, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. All this does not happen by itself - it reflects the high level of confidence in the future of our country, - underlined the President.
