On November 15, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who arrived in our country to participate in the seventh Consultative meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude to the leader of Uzbekistan for the invitation to take part in the  Consultative meeting. 

In turn, the Head of our state sincerely congratulated the President and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan on the fifth anniversary of Victory, celebrated on 8 November of this year.

Topical issues of further developing and strengthening the Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of strategic partnership and alliance were discussed in the context of implementing the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan in July this year.

It was noted that productive exchanges continue at all levels.

Since the beginning of the year, trade turnover has increased by 15 percent. Joint industrial cooperation projects in the automotive industry, energy, tourism, and other sectors are in the active implementation phase.

The leaders also reviewed the schedule of upcoming high-level meetings and events.
