A historic summit of Central Asian countries has concluded in Tashkent.
At the Consultative Meeting, chaired by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and attended by the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan, the heads of state adopted a decision on the accession of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a full-fledged participant in this format.
Speaking at the meeting, the leaders of the participating countries put forward important initiatives on further strengthening regional partnership. Several multilateral documents were signed upon the conclusion of the meeting.
On the sidelines of the summit, on November 15, the Head of our state held meetings with Presidents of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, and of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. On this day the main events of the state visit to our country of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev were held.
At the conclusion of the events at Tashkent-Humo International Airport, the Head of our state warmly saw off the presidents of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan. They departed for their respective countries.
Tomorrow, November 17, the main events of the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to our country will take place.
