On November 28, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the United Arab Emirates delegation headed by the  Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi. 

In the beginning of the meeting, the minister passed to the Head of our state sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan and Vice-President, Prime Minister and the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum. 

Issues of further strengthening Uzbek–Emirati relations of friendship and strategic partnership, as well as the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visit to the UAE in January this year, were reviewed.

It was emphasized with deep satisfaction that in recent years more than 300 initiatives have been implemented with the UAE government across over 40 areas, including such important programs as “Government Accelerator,” “One Million Programmers,” and “Young Leaders.”

The need to ensure the full-scale implementation of the new five-year program of mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at improving the efficiency of public administration was highlighted.

Particular attention was paid to joint plans on introducing the UAE’s advanced practices in reducing bureaucracy, training 5 million prompt engineers in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as promoting the “Young Generation” and “Book Challenge” initiatives.

An agreement was also reached to ensure thorough preparation for upcoming high-level events.

Following the meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Minister Mohammad Al Gergawi viewed an exhibition dedicated to the history of Uzbek–Emirati relations.
