During a telephone conversation on 26 February, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the occasion of his birthday.

The Head of state sincerely wished the President of Türkiye good health and well-being, great success in his state activities, and peace and prosperity to the brotherly Turkish people.

The Presidents also warmly congratulated one another on the holy month of Ramadan, sacred to the entire Muslim ummah.

Issues related to the further deepening of Uzbek–Turkish comprehensive strategic partnership were reviewed in the context of implementing the high-level agreements reached in Ankara this January.

Satisfaction was expressed with the current high level of interstate interaction. It was emphasized that the outcomes of the recent meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council have elevated bilateral relations to a qualitatively new stage of development.

Particular attention was paid to advancing cooperation projects in accordance with the adopted roadmaps. The leaders also exchanged views on pressing issues of the international and regional agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming engagements.
