President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed ongoing efforts in the oil and gas industry to stabilize production and develop new reserves.
Information was presented on the dynamics of natural gas production within the UzbekneftegazJSC system, the factors contributing to its decline, and the measures being taken to address them. It was noted that in the first quarter of the year, additional volumes were secured through the commissioning of new wells, the repair of existing ones, and the implementation of technological solutions. This work is scheduled to be expanded throughout the year.
Special attention was paid to the introduction of modern technologies to increase well efficiency. Promising areas for new 2D and 3D seismic surveys are currently being identified. Measures have been outlined to strengthen control over drilling and field operations in line with international standards, including the implementation of a supervision system, geological and hydrodynamic modeling, and the further development of production programs.
Issues related to increasing the gas recovery factor at fields, applying new approaches to hard-to-recover reserves, and assessing the economic efficiency of programs planned for 2026–2027 were also discussed. It was noted that this work is being carried out jointly with international companies.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of ensuring production stability in the industry, the effective use of existing capacities, the systematic organization of geological exploration and drilling operations, as well as expanding partnership with foreign companies focused on practical results.
Responsible officials were instructed to maintain strict control over the implementation of the outlined plans and ensure tangible results in each area.
