President reviews operations of polymer products enterprise

02.06.2026

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Kmita Polymers, a resident enterprise of the Chirchik Chemical-Industrial Technopark.

Implemented jointly with the Russian company Polymers, the project specializes in the production of special polyethylene films and a wide range of polyethylene film products.

Such products are among the less visible yet critically important components of the modern economy. Today, the safe delivery of food products, household appliances, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, and various industrial goods to the market, as well as their protection from external factors, largely depends on modern packaging technologies.

The enterprise, covering an area of 6,670 square meters, produces a wide range of polymer and heat-shrink films using modern technological equipment imported from Italy. The launch of the facility enables the production of import-substituting products valued at $9.5 million.

The project is being implemented under a two-phase expansion program. The total investment value amounts to $15.2 million, of which $7.4 million was invested during the first phase.

The project has created 50 new jobs, with additional employment opportunities expected in subsequent phases.

In 2025, the enterprise produced goods worth 115 billion soums. In addition, products worth $6 million were exported to Central Asian countries.

The company’s polymer products are used as local raw materials in the packaging systems of major brands, including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Flash, Chernogolovka, Ackerman, Asl Oyna, Biolife, and Family Group.

It was noted that the packaging industry is one of the most dynamic sectors of modern industry. As production volumes increase, so do the requirements for the safe storage, transportation, and delivery of products to the market.

In this context, the growth in the number of such enterprises contributes not only to the development of the industry itself but also to the stable operation of the food, construction, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and other sectors.
