President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on the progress of preparations in the oil and gas industry for the upcoming autumn-winter season.
Comprehensive measures developed to ensure a stable supply of energy resources to the population, social facilities, and economic sectors during the 2026–2027 autumn-winter period were reviewed. The Head of State outlined specific tasks for the supply of natural and liquefied gas, the repair of main and regional gas networks, the building up of fuel reserves, and ensuring the readiness of emergency repair crews.
Particular attention was paid to preparing the gas supply system for the season. In particular, before the onset of the cold season, 53.7 kilometers of defective sections of main gas pipelines are planned to be replaced, while 77 gas pumping units at compressor stations will undergo major repairs.
Furthermore, to improve gas supply to 220,000 households in 881 mahallas and reduce technological losses, the gas distribution system will be converted from a three-stage to a two-stage scheme. A total of 711.9 kilometers of gas networks and 400 gas distribution points will be overhauled and reconstructed.
The issue of supplying the population and social facilities with liquefied gas was also considered. During the autumn-winter period, 325,700 tons of liquefied gas are planned to be supplied, including 8,200 tons to 104,700 consumers living in 229 remote settlements.
Measures are also being taken to build up fuel reserves for the autumn-winter period. In particular, a reserve of 120,000 tons of motor gasoline is planned for December and January. Throughout the heating season, 4,161,000 tons of coal are projected to be supplied to thermal power plants.
To ensure the technological stability of JSC Uzbekneftegaz enterprises, repair work will be carried out on 90 process units. This will ensure the uninterrupted operation of production facilities and a stable supply of energy resources to the population and economic sectors.
The Head of State noted that preparations should not be limited to the oil and gas industry alone, but should be carried out in close coordination with the energy and utility sectors. To this end, the responsible officials were instructed to organize the work of republican and territorial commissions and establish continuous monitoring of preparations for the autumn-winter season.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the responsible officials to ensure strict control over the implementation of the planned measures, the timely and high-quality completion of preparations for the autumn-winter season, and the stable supply of natural gas, liquefied gas, and other fuel resources to the population and social facilities.
