President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on citizen appeals in the fuel and energy sector and measures to address the issues raised, as part of preparations for the autumn-winter season.
Analyzing citizen appeals, identifying local issues based on them, and taking targeted measures play an important role in ensuring a stable supply of electricity and natural gas to the population.
In the first half of 2026, 39,220 appeals related to the fuel and energy sector were received, 13,820 fewer, or 26.1 percent down, compared to the same period last year.
Half of these appeals concerned the supply of natural and liquefied gas, while 38.3 percent related to electricity supply.
The main issues raised by citizens included the filling of liquefied gas cylinders, power outages, the construction and repair of electricity networks, and low natural gas pressure.
Despite the overall decline in the number of appeals, it was emphasized that each appeal should be viewed not as an isolated incident, but as an important signal indicating problems in a particular area, sector, or service.
Ahead of the autumn-winter season, officials were tasked with assessing mahallas and facilities with high levels of recurring appeals, inspecting the technical condition of electricity and gas networks, and developing targeted plans to address the identified deficiencies in each region.
Priority was given to repairing electricity networks and transformer substations, particularly in areas most affected by power outages, as well as strengthening the readiness of emergency response teams and ensuring a stable gas supply in settlements experiencing low natural gas pressure.
Furthermore, the need was emphasized to strictly adhere to schedules for filling and delivering liquefied gas cylinders to the population, and to mobilize additional reserves and capacity in areas with increased demand.
The Head of State emphasized that the systemic problems reflected in citizen appeals must be resolved before the start of the autumn-winter season, and that this work should be carried out systematically in cooperation with local hokimiyats, the "mahalla seven," and utility service organizations.
Responsible officials were instructed to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of seasonal preparations and a stable supply of natural gas, liquefied gas, and other fuel resources to the population and social facilities.
