In Nurafshon, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the facilities and conditions created at the new Social Protection Complex of the National Agency for Social Protection.

Systematic measures are being implemented across the country to strengthen social protection, expand the range of state social services, and increase their coverage among citizens.

Established for the first time in the Tashkent region, the Social Protection Complex enables comprehensive services to be provided to the most vulnerable groups of the population based on the “one-stop shop” principle.

The complex houses five institutions: the Tashkent Regional Department of the National Agency for Social Protection, the territorial social inspectorate, the Nurafshon “Inson” Social Services Center, the medical and social expert commission, and the regional social services center.

With the establishment of the complex, around 10,000 residents of Nurafshon, as well as the nearby Urtachirchik, Pskent, Akkurgan, and Buka districts, will receive social services annually.

Around 100 employees will work at the complex, assisting citizens in need of social protection and supporting their full social adaptation and independent participation in society.

Furthermore, based on individual needs, five types of social services are provided at the territorial social services center, with broad involvement of the non-governmental sector.

As a result, people with disabilities who have been confined to their homes for many years, citizens requiring care, and children with disabilities will be integrated into society.

The President was also presented with an artificial intelligence-based method for diagnosing people with disabilities, as well as new mechanisms for the work of mahalla social workers developed based on the experience of the Tashkent region.

While inspecting the conditions created at the Social Protection Complex, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that supporting vulnerable groups, facilitating their full social adaptation, and helping them maintain a positive outlook on life remain among the priorities of state policy.

The President also held a conversation with the “Inson” volunteer team of the National Agency for Social Protection in the Tashkent region and reviewed the projects they are implementing. Approving the complex’s activities, he instructed officials to triple the number of such territorial social service centers across the country.

It should be noted that the number of regional social service centers in the country is planned to increase to at least 90, further expanding existing capabilities. In particular, new centers will be established in districts with a high number of residents in need of social protection, as well as in locations with convenient transport links ensuring easier access for citizens.
