President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan.
The King of Jordan warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health and well-being, and the friendly people of Uzbekistan peace, well-being, and prosperity.
The two leaders particularly emphasized that the substantive talks held in Samarkand and the important agreements reached as a result had opened a new chapter in the development of bilateral relations.
They noted with satisfaction the expanding inter-parliamentary contacts, business cooperation, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two countries.
The leaders emphasized the importance of continuing the political dialogue, further deepening trade and economic cooperation, and ensuring thorough preparations for the upcoming high-level events.
They also exchanged views on current issues on the international and regional agenda.
