On July 28, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, Minister of Health.

At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed the greetings and best wishes of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to the President of Uzbekistan.

The two sides noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in recent years and highlighted the successful implementation of major joint projects with the Saudi Arabian company ACWA.

As part of the visit, fruitful negotiations were held with a representative delegation of executives from leading Saudi Arabian companies, and a number of agreements were reached.

The parties paid particular attention to the digitalization and modernization of the healthcare system, regulation of the pharmaceutical industry, personnel training, and the construction of a multidisciplinary clinic in Uzbekistan.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to develop and adopt a roadmap for implementing new projects and initiatives.
