As part of the program of the informal Consultative Meeting, the Presidents of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan attended the opening ceremony of the Grand Prix of Kyrgyzstan in powerboating on Lake Issyk-Kul.
The leaders welcomed the participants and guests of the competition.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, together with the First Lady, watched the athletes compete in the qualifying race.
The Grand Prix is the second stage of the F1H2O World Championship, known as Formula 1 on water, and is held under the auspices of the International Powerboating Union. Professional teams and athletes from various countries participate in the competition each year. For the first time, a stage of the world championship is being held in Central Asia.
The competition includes practice sessions, qualifying races, and the main race featuring high-speed boats capable of reaching speeds of over 220 km/h.
