At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on August 29–30.
The agenda for the upcoming talks includes further developing and strengthening the Uzbekistan–India strategic partnership and expanding multifaceted cooperation.
Particular attention will be given to expanding systematic political dialogue and cultural and humanitarian exchanges, as well as promoting specific cooperation programs and projects in trade, energy, the chemical industry, geology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, mechanical engineering, and other economic sectors.
The leaders will exchange views on current international affairs and the regional agenda, as well as cooperation within multilateral formats.
Following the meeting, the signing of a substantial package of bilateral agreements is planned.
