At the invitation of President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to the Republic of Korea on September 13-16.
During his visit to Seoul, the President of Uzbekistan will hold talks in narrow and expanded formats with President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea and meet with Speaker of the National Assembly Cho Jeong-sik, Prime Minister Han Seong-sook, and heads of leading Korean companies and financial institutions.
The talks will focus on further strengthening and expanding the Uzbek-Korean special strategic partnership, deepening cooperation in priority areas, and intensifying cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The President of Uzbekistan will also take part in the first Central Asia-Republic of Korea Summit, during which the leaders will discuss prospects for expanding cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure, digital transformation, science and technology, and other priority areas.
Following the summit, the Seoul Declaration is expected to be adopted.
