On September 21, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincerely congratulated President Vladimir Putin on the successful conduct of the elections to the State Duma and wished the newly elected parliament every success in its work.
The leaders discussed further deepening the Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership and allied relations, with a focus on implementing agreements reached at the highest level.
The sides emphasized the importance of successfully holding the upcoming meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Council of Regions, as well as the Days of Uzbek Culture in Russia.
They also reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
