On August 8, a telephone conversation was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Topical issues of bilateral and international agenda were reviewed.
President of Russia informed about the main results of negotiations with the special envoy of the President of the USA Steven Witkoff held on August 6 in the city of Moscow.
Practical aspects of further developing and strengthening Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance in the context of implementing high-level agreements, were also discussed.
Special attention was paid to taking coordinated measures aimed at ensuring the growth dynamics of the indicators of trade turnover and investments, accelerating cooperation projects in priority economic sectors, maintaining productive contacts, business and humanitarian exchanges on the level of regions.
Leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia also reviewed a schedule of upcoming meetings and events.
