The first energy capacities of New Tashkent are developing

30.12.2025

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the energy facilities constructed on the territory of New Tashkent.

The modern trigeneration technology allows to simultaneously ensure the city with the heating and cooling, spending twice less energy than traditional sources. Production processes in traditional heating plants or cooling systems are carried out separately. During trigeneration all of them are integrated into one single technological chain.

Currently construction of main buildings and station facilities based on such technologies is being carried out in New Tashkent. The necessary equipment within the project fully complies with international energy efficiency requirements.

The project’s first phase envisions creation of capacities of 75 megawatt of heating, 100 megawatt of cooling. Generation of 17 megawatt of electricity will also be organized.

The first substation of New Tashkent has the capacity of 100 megawatt, which is enough for ensuring the initial needs of the cities. The project is being implemented based on private-public partnership with the participation of Chinese company “Haocheng Industry Group Limited”.

It is noteworthy that this is the first enclosed substation in Uzbekistan.

Such facilities have a number of advantages over traditional open substations. First of all, they are designed to fit into the urban environment and are located where they do not disrupt the architectural appearance. In addition, the noise level at such substations is half that of traditional ones. Moreover, they take up three times less space than open-type facilities. This is a huge advantage for a city with a complex engineering concept, such as New Tashkent, which is currently under construction.

During his tour of these facilities, the President particularly emphasized their technical capabilities, economic efficiency, and strategic importance for New Tashkent, and gave recommendations on organizing work even more efficiently and implementing the next stages quickly and with high quality.
