President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the operations of the private multidisciplinary medical center Global International Hospital in Sergeli district.
Protecting public health and improving the quality and accessibility of medical services remain among the priorities of state policy. To this end, investment continues to be attracted to the healthcare sector, while support is provided for the development of private healthcare.
The modern medical center provides a wide range of in-demand medical services.
Built with an investment of $30 million, it has the capacity to provide medical care to more than 150,000 residents annually. Occupying a 0.5-hectare site, the center plans to deliver services worth up to 15 billion soums each year.
The Head of State was briefed on the work of the medical center and inspected its surgical, intensive care, and treatment departments, as well as its situation center.
The project has created 250 new jobs. The center'sstaff includes more than 10 highly qualified specialists who have completed advanced training abroad, alongside foreign medical professionals.
The center is equipped with modern British, Italian, and German medical equipment, including advanced medical technologies manufactured by Philips.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of developing the center into a leading institution in specialized fields of healthcare. Responsible officials were instructed to organize advanced training for doctors based on the expertise accumulated at the center and to expand public access to modern medical services.
The President also spoke with the staff of the medical center. Particular attention was given to supporting healthcare professionals, increasing the number of private healthcare providers, and ensuring public access to high-quality, modern, and effective medical services.
"In addition to providing every patient with high-quality and dignified care, it is essential to harmoniously integrate healthcare and medical tourism. We should actively promote this area, study international best practices, and develop hotel infrastructure at hospitals," the President said.
