President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the newly constructed multidisciplinary medical center in Jizzakh region.
The significance of the complex is that it provides the population with all necessary medical services in one place. The project is the first stage of forming a medical cluster in the region.
The cluster approach applied in the modern medicine is one of the most effective models for fast diagnostics, implementation of high-tech treatment methods and reduction of bureaucratic processes for the patients.
The Head of our state was briefed on the opportunities of the organization. The President got acquainted with the conditions created for the patients’ treatment and effective work of doctors.
The Center is located in a modern seven-story building and can receive up to 400 patients on a daily basis. The hospital has 344 beds. Modern equipment – MRI, MSCT, laboratory complexes and high-tech surgery equipment, has been purchased for over 100 billion soums.
Housing a polyclinic, radiology, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, and urology departments within a single complex will accelerate the process of diagnosis and treatment, facilitate collaboration among doctors, and ease patient movement. Most importantly, the new capabilities will significantly reduce waiting times for high-tech surgeries – one of the key social benefits of the project.
With the launch of the center the necessity of Jizzakh region residents in appealing to the republican clinics or neighboring regions will be reduced by 75-80 percent.
Within the framework of the medical cluster long-term cooperation will be established with Kazan Federal University in order to improve qualifications of the local specialists, implement advanced methods of diagnostics and treatment, and develop modern medical standards.
The President spoke with the leaders and employees of the healthcare system.
The Head of State highlighted the necessity to abandon outdated approaches in managing medical clusters and multidisciplinary clinics, implementing new mechanisms, including attracting international experts and leading managers for each area of the medicine, educating and training specialists locally, expanding digitalization and applying artificial intelligence. It was noted that Jizzakh should become an example of such new approach.
Separate attention was paid to satisfying the population with the quality of medical services. The President underscored that the honor and dignity of an individual should be the foundation of any reform.
- The people are concerned not only about the building or conditions, but most importantly about the quality of services, knowledge, professionalism and honesty of a doctor. The patient entering the clinic is primarily waiting for attention, accurate diagnosis, fast and quality treatment. This is why the main objective is to create such a medical system, where people are served with sincere heart, specialists have high qualifications and competencies.
A conversation was also held here with the professors and students of Kazan Federal University’s Jizzakh branch. It was emphasized that the number of practical sessions needs to be increased and that students should be continuously introduced to the achievements of global medicine and best practices.
